WHAT IS VCAP?

VCAP's mission is based on a simple but profound truth:
The best way to change public policy is to elect people who agree with you.

Bold. Determined. Organized. Action.

VCAP will recruit, assist and support conservative candidates for public office.  This will include endorsing VCAP candidates, making direct financial contributions to such candidates and providing campaign and candidate training. 

BUT...VCAP will do much more

That's because VCAP is a grass roots oriented organization of like-minded conservatives who believe it's time that conservatives have a stronger, more organized voice in our state government.

VCAP will identify and mobilize conservative activists on behalf of VCAP-endorsed candidates; provide voting records of elected officials to conservative voters; conduct voter registration drives; and create a link between conservative voters and conservative legislators and other elected officials.

WHY IS VCAP NEEDED?

While Virginia is a conservative state, the conservative "voice" is often overwhelmed by liberal special interests.  Moderate and liberal politicians often posture as conservatives, then govern differently.  Liberal media outlets ignore and distort news when it comes to conservative candidates, causes and positions on issues.

The conservative "voice" needs to be better represented, better informed and better organized.  The conservative agenda needs to be advanced more effectively.  The founders and organizers behind VCAP bring a wealth of experience in grassroots organizing, fundraising, campaigning, marketing and public relations to the task at hand.  The marriage of professional political campaign experience with grassroots activism makes VCAP an ideal organization to restore conservative principles and policies to their rightful place in Virginia politics.
